Accepting new clients for in-person and virtual appointments

Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.
At the centre of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.

Hello

Whatever the reason for starting a counselling journey, finding the right therapist to work with is an important step. I offer a trauma-informed, judgement free, and holistic approach to therapy - and I’m happy to schedule a free, 20-minute virtual consultation so you can see whether my therapeutic style might be the right fit for you.

I hold a Master’s Degree of Counselling Psychology and am an active, professional member of both the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am also recognized as an Approved Clinical Supervisor through BCACC.

In-person and virtual services

  • Individual counselling for adults 19+

  • Clinical Supervision for RCCs and CCCs working in British Columbia

  • Presentations/public speaking to organizations, schools, or groups on the topics of: attachment, emotion dysregulation, post-critical incident response, safety planning, suicide risk assessment, and maintaining positive relationships

My clients tend to seek therapy for some of the following reasons:

  • Trauma - single or multiple incident events, PTSD, C-PTSD, or PTSS, or impacted by natural disaster

  • Complex family of origin experiences / intergenerational trauma

  • Caregiver burnout / compassion fatigue - caring for children, parents, or other family members

  • Parenting a child with ADHD, substance use, emotion dysregulation, or serious mental health concerns

  • Grief / loss

  • Life transitions

  • Anxiety / depression / stress / workplace burnout

  • Experiences of abuse / victimization / systemic oppression

  • Complex, unresolved relational patterns

Approach

I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches in order to tailor a unique counselling experience according to the needs and wishes of each client. These frameworks include:

Narrative Therapy / Indigenous Focusing Oriented Therapy (IFOT - land-based, somatic, intergenerational) / Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Processing (AEDP - somatic, attachment-focused) / Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) / Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) / Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) / Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) / Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) / Community Reinforcement and Family Therapy (CRAFT) / Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) / Occupational Awareness for First Responders
